What would Mohammed do?
"Why do people keep provoking the muslims? "

I allowed myself a brief moment to ponder over this question that was posed by a certain muslim shortly after the now typical muslim "outrage" over the Danish cartoons. If this is the real mindset of the average muslim then we are in deep trouble! If to draw a cartoon, attempt to preach gently, criticise and ask questions is to "provoke the muslims" then one wonders how much patience exists in this religion of "peace".

Gillian Gibbons is now back in the relative safety of Liverpool but the circumstances surrounding her sourjourn in Sudan will continue to dominate world politics long after she must have forgotten the spelling of the name "mohammed". How did thousands of Sudanese get so much time off work to wave clubs, knives and go chanting in the street for Gillian's head? Why the silence from those who constantly deceive us in the name of "moderate" islam? As the world slides ever closer towards the precipice of islamic hostage, i start to wonder when the bending over backwards to accomodate the violent cult that cloaks itself in the garments of "peace" will stop.

While muslims cry about the teddy bear named after a 7yr old pupil, there is pindrop silence about the several mohammeds slaughtering innocent Darfurians. In a nation where 200,000 have been killed and millions displaced in one of Africa's worst cases of genocide, the government seems more interested in fighting Mohammed's battles.

I start to wonder, what would mohammed himself have done? Would he be turning in the grave as muslims "hijack his religion"? A cursory look at the quran and hadith disabuse my mind . . . most likely mohammed would have asked for Gillian's head on a charger while laughing so excessively as to expose his molars.
Mohammed was no different from his adherents today, infact we do them a great diservice by expressing shock at their barbarity . . . they are only doing what allah loves best for "nothing is dearer to Allah than two drops and two marks: A drop of tears shed out of fear of Allah and a drop of blood shed in Allah's way".
